Ballston Spa, NY – The Ballston Spa High School Troupe is proud to present its spring musical production of Catch Me If You Can, an electrifying and fast-paced Broadway hit based on the real-life story of Frank Abagnale Jr. Join us for a night of dazzling music, dynamic choreography, and high-flying adventure as our talented students bring this captivating story to life on stage. Catch Me If You Can features a book by Terrence McNally, music by Marc Shaiman, and lyrics by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. Based on the DreamWorks Motion Picture, the musical captures the charm and intrigue of Abagnale’s legendary exploits with show-stopping numbers and a swinging ‘60s vibe.

This production stars the incredibly talented students from Ballston Spa High School, who bring these dynamic characters to life with their outstanding performances, passion, and energy. Cast members include Roman Mangino (Frank Abagnale, Jr.), Peter Hinckley (Carl Hanratty), Ben Skillings (Frank Abagnale, Sr.) Kendyl Wasserman (Paula Abagnale), Libby Stavers (Brenda Strong), Anna Wilson (Carol Strong), Matthew Adams (Roger Strong), Jack Glastetter (Agent Branton), Logan Grey (Agent Dollar), Kara Bowens (Cheryl Ann), Logan Larocque (Jack Barnes), and features over 90 high school students on the stage, behind the scenes, and in the orchestra pit.

Performances will take place on March 27, 28, and 29 7 p.m., with a matinee on March 29 at 1 p.m. Performances are held at Ballston Spa High School, 220 Ballston Avenue, Ballston Spa, NY 12020. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and students. Tickets are online and at the door; online tickets are now open! 

Adapted from the hit 2002 film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks, Catch Me If You Can follows the unbelievable true story of Frank Abagnale Jr., a brilliant young con artist who successfully posed as a pilot, doctor, and lawyer—all before the age of 21—while eluding relentless FBI agent Carl Hanratty. This high-energy musical, featuring an exhilarating score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray), promises an unforgettable evening of excitement, laughter, and heart.
