Ballston Spa High School Troupe Presents: Radium Girls

Radium Girls, written by D.W. Gregory, tells the moving story of young women
in the 1920s who painted luminous watch dials using radium-based paint, unaware of the
health risks posed by exposure to the toxic substance. As they began to experience severe
and mysterious illnesses, their fight for accountability and workplace safety ignited a
national scandal, forever changing regulations for workers’ rights. The play highlight’s
themes of resilience, justice, and the often-overlooked struggles of ordinary people in the
face of corporate power.

The production features a talented cast of Ballston Spa High School students who have
been rehearsing extensively to portray the powerful, emotional depth of the characters.
Some of the cast members include Mia Parks as Grace Fryer, Logan Grey as Arthur
Roeder, Matthew Adams as Tommy Kreider, Jack Glastetter as C.B. Charlie Lee, Kara
Bowens
as Diane Roeder, Brenna Walsh as Sob Sister, Libby Stavers as Kathryn and
Harriet Roeder, Lucy Dooling as Irene and Miss Wiley, along with, Juanita Rust as
Madame Curie, and Charlie Davis as Markley and VonSochocky.

Performances are on November 21, 22, and 23 at 7 p.m., with a matinee on November
23 at 1 p.m. Performances are held at Ballston Spa High School, 220 Ballston Avenue,
Ballston Spa, NY 12020. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and students.
Tickets are sold online and at the door; online tickets are now open!
